FCS at Lafayette

Lafayette provides many different opportunities to connect with Family and Consumer Sciences through classes, internships, and co-ops. By following one, or multiple, CTE pathways available at our school students can explore future careers in family and consumer science. In addition, anyone who's taking a family and consumer sciences class can join FCCLA and expand their leadership skills.

Beyond High School

Colleges

If you are interested in continuing your family and consumer sciences education beyond high school, consider these in-state colleges.

Eastern Kentucky University, Western Kentucky University, and Murray State University are the only in-state colleges that have a specific Family and Consumer Science degree. However, the University of Louisville and the University of Kentucky both have degrees for many related occupations.
